Plain English Translation
Southside for living
A high-density residential (many people in the same ground space) neighbourhood would be developed. It would contain one, two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses of generous proportions, where as most apartments in the city centre now are smaller.
There would be local shops, cafés and restaurants.
I'm not sure I like this option that much. The existing character of the area is an “entertainment” area. I'm not sure the bars, clubs and so on can coexist too well with the existing developments. The ongoing battle between Crosby and the Nightingale does not bode well for this option, I think.
It seems that the area is already saturated with apartments particularly on and around Hurst Street. I think developing more apartments in the area would disrupt an already unstable market, with plummeting prices and eviction. The Magnet Southside option seems positive to really enhance the existing atmosphere of the area.
