The official consultation closed at 23:59 on Friday 6th February. We closed comments on the same day at 12 noon here in order to get them to the council on time, in the format they want.
We sent a printed copy of all comments that were made before midnight on 4th Feb to the council by post (recorded delivery). And sent the balance electronically (on 6th Feb).

In addition, streets/routes could be identified where pedestrians need to be given higher priority than at present, especially those that are deprived of the most basic facilities.
In addition we could find the important streets and routes where pedestrians currently find it hard to walk and make sure these places are better for walking.

New Street should be great for pedestrians, but is instead a horror of avoiding religious conversion, flyering, charity collection and having surveys done to you.
I would seriously consider any control the council has to ban any of these actives, you are not willing to linger over a walk down New Street – but bolt head down to you destination. A real pity as it has some fine architecture, some of the examples of our more independent shops and also often is host to good street entertainment.
Agreed, the amount of charity workers, donations etc should be capped at set limit per day. I'll go out my way to avoid new street because I know they'll be people hassling me for money.
