I had a long chat with Terry Grimley from the Post a while ago about how trams are the answer to all our problems. OK not quite, but the thinking was that Birmingham has little pockets of goodness spread about rather than a cluster in the middle e.g. Jewellery Quarter, Digbeth, Brindley Place etc - trams would be an ideal form of transport to link these things together. Would make access to various events/activities taking place in these areas easier for people too. It's all about the trams.
