Connectivity – Birmingham must address critical issues, including accessibility, internal mobility, digital connectivity and connections and its relationships with London and other major centres of population and business.
Plain English Translation
Connectivity – Birmingham has problems that it must solve, especially making places accessibile to all, travel around the city cente, digital (computer and other technology) connectivity and its transport and other links with other cities such as London.
It's all about the trams. I had a long chat with Terry Grimley from the Post a while ago about how trams are the answer to all our problems. OK not quite, but the thinking was that Birmingham has little pockets of goodness spread about rather than a cluster in the middle e.g. Jewellery Quarter, Digbeth, Brindley Place etc – trams would be an ideal form of transport to link these things together. Would make access to various events/activities taking place in these areas easier for people too.
