Birmingham needs a comprehensive network of green spaces and canals. A range of smaller local pocket parks or gardens squares and great parks should be provided.
Plain English Translation
We think that Birmingham needs a good network of green spaces and canals. We should have a range of parks, gardens and squares.
So agree!!!!!!!!
Some large parks can feel unsafe for people on their own, so perhaps more smaller areas would be best. A lot of European cities I have visited have lots of pretty small squares with fountains and seating. I really like the design of the proposed park for Eastside, which is long and thin rather than square. By having that shape, people can quickly exit it if they feel unsafe, however it will still feel relatively large if people want to walk the length of it.
